There’s a lot of stuff going on in the world. And it’s all pretty confusing. Topics such as climate change, peak oil, politics, war, terrorism, religion, multi-national corporations, economics, and culture touch our lives every day whether we notice and acknowledge them or not.

It’s important for people to start to figure out how they feel about these things and if they want, learn more. There seems to be a growing willingness and need for ordinary people to bring these topics out into the open and discuss them.

Everyday it seems less likely that our political leaders are going to be the ones to initiate the real and meaningful change that is needed if we are to alter the course our society is currently on. Real change will not come from the top down. It will need to be come from the bottom up. In other words, as a society we must decide we want change so our politicians can follow our lead.

nextparadigm.net is a place where people can share information and exchange dialog and perhaps start to figure out what they want their world to be like and how we might all get there.
