Located in Knowlesville, New Brunswick. A living demonstration of renewable energy, organic agriculture, community development and forest stewardship. I had the opportunity to visit Falls Brook and attend one of the weekend seminars on solar electricity production. An absolutely wonderful place and I look forward to attending another session this upcoming summer.

Tons and tons of information on topics including the environment, industrialism, peak oil, etc.
An extremely well done 20 minute video by Annie Leonard on the materials economy. Aside from the video there are lots of other resources on the site including an interesting suggested reading list. I highly recommend taking a few minutes to go watch the video.
A resource site inspired by Leonardo DiCaprio’s film “The 11th Hour” (to be released on dvd in April 2008). Lots of great info here including an extensive list of some of the more prominent figures active in the modern environmentalist movement.
“A middle class white guy comes to grips with Peak Oil, Climate Change, Mass Extinction, Population Overshoot and the demise of the American Lifestyle.” I’ve recently seen the movie, it’s terrifying, enlightening and inspiring all at the same time.
Global group dedicated to social and environmental justice.
Canadian organization doing research into sustainable energy and climate change. They’ve also released a report on the tar sands industry in Alberta.
The world’s largest conservation network.
A project of the Rideau Institute, a public policy think tank based in Ottawa. Ceasefire.ca has wild ideas about how to stop global conflict - for example, stop shooting at each other.
